A COUPLE ARE SITTING ON A WINDSWEPT PARK BENCH, THERE IS A TREE ON
THE LEFT AND BUSHES BEHIND. WE START OFF FAR AWAY FROM THE PAIR,
MOVING SLOWLY TOWARDS THEM. AS WE GET CLOSER, WE CAN SEE THEM
TALKING, THE GIRL GETS UP AS IF TO LEAVE, BUT ON A COMMAND FROM THE
BOY, SHE RETURNS TO SIT NEXT TO HIM.

Boy calls after girl - No, not quite like that, she didn’t leave across me, but to the left. With
proud little steps.

Girl, coming back & sitting down again - Oh, Sorry. What else did she do?

Boy - She steeled her expression, pursed her lips, and walked off that way.

Girl, gathering/preparing herself - Ok, I’ll try again

SHE LEAVES AGAIN, BUT HASN’T TAKEN MORE THAN FIVE PACES BEFORE THE
BOY CALLS AFTER HER AGAIN.

Boy - Sorry, but could you try again, but this time look deep into my eyes, for a while, then
look down and then give a deep sigh? You did the walk well though.

Girl, walks back and sits down - Sure, just explain that again.

BOY EXPLAINS AGAIN & THE GIRL ENACTS IT. AGAIN SHE GETS NO MORE THAN
FIVE PACES AWAY WHEN THE BOY CALLS AFTER HER.

Boy - Sorry, i’ve just remembered something else.

Girl - Sure, what?

Boy - She kissed me. Lightly on the lips, lovingly. After the long look. I know it’s alot to ask,
but…

Girl, visibly brightens up, at the thought of kissing him and walks back back to the bench
with a spring in her step - Ok, shall we start?

Boy - Sure.

THEY CARRY OUT THE ACTIONS ONCE MORE, BUT AT THE KISSING POINT, THE
GIRL MOVES HER HAND AROUND THE BACK OF HIS HEAD, OBVIOUSLY ENJOYING
THE KISS AND WANTING IT TO LAST.

Boy, draws back, looking shocked - No, not like that, our kisses were sometimes
passionate, but, but, this one was sad, and ?nal.

HE PUTS HIS HEAD IN HIS HANDS, SADLY REMINISCING, OR CRYING, WE
CANNOT TELL. THE GIRL SHOOTS HIM A LOOK OF UTTER & COMPLETE
CONTEMPT.

Boy, looks up and asks - Can we try one last time?

THEY ENACT IT ONE LAST TIME, THIS TIME THE KISS WAS MORE THE SAD KISS
OF FINALITY HE HAD WANTED.

Girl, walks off screen, never looking back.

Boy, sits alone, looking towards the direction she left with a contented smile.
